Job Description
Kukje Bakery is an exciting up-and-coming bakery focused on crafting high-quality, fresh baked goods with creativity and consistency. Our mission is to bring exceptional pastries, breads, cakes, and desserts to the community while building a welcoming and collaborative bakery culture.
We are looking for an experienced baker with expertise in artisan beads, laminated pastry, cake and dessert production to join our team. This role will work closely with the Head Chef and will be responsible for developing cake and dessert menus, creating new recipes, and leading the daily cake and dessert production for the bakery.
Responsibilities
- Assist and oversee bakery production and operations
- Prepare, assemble, and decorate a variety of cakes, mousses, tarts, creams, custards, and specialty desserts
- Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of all pastry items
- Assist with ingredient ordering, inventory, and prep planning
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen environment
- Assist in training and support junior pastry or bakery staff
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Qualifications
- 10+ years of pastry or bakery experience recommended
- Strong experience in cake baking, decorating, and dessert production
- Experience developing dessert menus and recipes
- Experience in working with yeasted doughs and laminated doughs
- Solid understanding of pastry techniques including creams, mousses, fillings, glazes, and finishing work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced bakery production environment
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Passion for baking and attention to detail
