We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Pastry Chef to join our team at Florentin Bakery. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, baking, and finishing a variety of pastries and baked goods while maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency. Duties

  • Prepare, bake, and finish pastries, breads, and desserts according to Florentin Bakery recipes and standards.
  • Execute doughs, fillings, creams, and toppings with precision and consistency.
  • Follow kosher guidelines and bakery procedures at all times.
  • Ensure all products meet quality, taste, and presentation standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary pastry and kitchen workspace.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the team.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bakery staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Skills

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or in a professional bakery environment.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and ingredient handling.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Understanding of food safety standards and kitchen best practices.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Bonus: Experience with Mediterranean baking traditions or bilingual skills.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 60.0 per week
