About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Baker Assistant to support daily bakery production and help maintain the highest standards of quality, consistency, and cleanliness. This is a hands-on, production-focused role working closely with our Pastry Chef and operations team. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and takes pride in producing beautiful, high-quality baked goods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the production of baked goods including laminated pastries, breads, and entremets
  • Follow recipes, portioning, and techniques as directed by the Pastry Chef
  • Decorate and finish pastries with attention to consistency and presentation
  • Package pastries and breads accurately into labeled delivery boxes
  • Verify completed orders with delivery drivers to ensure accuracy
  • Support daily production tasks such as scaling, mixing, shaping, and baking
  • Help track, rotate, and organize ingredients to maintain accurate inventory
  • Maintain a clean, organized bakery while following all sanitation and food safety standards
  • Assist with seasonal menu changes and new product launches
  • Provide support across multiple production facilities as needed
  • Follow all health, safety, and food handling regulations

Qualifications

  • Previous bakery or kitchen experience preferred
  • Lamination experience (croissants, laminated doughs, etc.) is a plus
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to work on your feet and perform repetitive tasks
  • Team-oriented with a positive, reliable attitude
  • Willingness to learn and take direction in a production environment
